Terry founded TheFrameworks in 1989 and, as Managing Partner and Creative Director, has ultimate responsibility for the agency’s creative output. His background – he worked with graphic design guru Paul Rand at IBM – is reflected in his passion for bold, creative ideas whose apparent simplicity belie their power. Terry is also director and founder of colourDNA.com and creative director at EC Group, an outsourced business and marketing support provider.

Audrey Lecomte
James

Account Executive

As well as playing a key research role on many of our branding projects, Audrey is also a major organisational force in our Detroit office. She has a degree in marketing and communications and, before joining the agency, developed significant business for Tata Group in France and the US. Married to our senior partner Lawrence, she is awarded our ‘patience-of-a-saint’ award at least once a month.

Ben takes overall responsibility for the agency’s copy output and plays a leading role in any project that involves strategic research and positioning. His background includes an engineering and programming degree from Oxford and 20-odd years in B2B and B2C journalism, PR, marketing and social networking. Away from work he has a second life as an amateur crossword compiler called Crucifer and is an enthusiastic smoker – mainly of pork, but sometimes beef too.

An experienced accountant, Sharon is responsible for managing our finances and accounting systems. She has held a number of senior accountancy positions, both in industry and in private practice – and has been with the agency for more than ten years. When she’s not crunching numbers she’s often being taken for a ride – usually on Melody, her 13-year-old Appaloosa.

Megan provides marketing support for all our clients, combining enthusiasm, creativity and organisational flair with a fine eye for detail. She joined the agency after a year cutting her PR and marketing teeth at a major car dealer in Glasgow, where she stayed on after her degree in English literature. Megan loves pounding the streets of London, sometimes walking through the night for charity – and usually sporting rather more stylish footwear.

Matteo

Matteo takes the technical lead on most of our online projects. Before joining us, he worked at the BBC where he played a key role in its new home page - named by the Design Museum as one of the 2012 Designs of the Year. When he’s not developing, Matteo is usually drawing – he has won several awards for his illustrations – or trying his best to recreate the tastes of his native Italy with “inferior” London ingredients.

Darren is a key member of the core design team at TheFrameworks, leading the creative for a majority of online communication projects we develop for IBM. He joined us straight after graduating with a first class degree in graphic communications from UCA Farnham. Outside work, Darren is an enthusiastic sports fan and film buff – which is handy given his unique lager-and-popcorn-based metabolism.

Rose has a key creative role to play in many of our online and print projects, as well as being the lead designer for colourDNA. She joined the agency after completing a degree in graphic design and a two-year stint as in-house designer for fashion brand Aquascutum. Rose is never without her trusty notebook – you never know when inspiration will strike – and loves nothing more than a nice cup of tea beside the seaside.

He put his first-class degree in graphic design from Central St Martins to great use for brands as diverse as Dove, the BBC and Nickelodeon before joining TheFrameworks. When he’s not being creative with type, Ben is typically creating his own music.

Bob provides editorial and strategic input into many of our brand-focused projects. He has been involved with TheFrameworks from day one, having previously held several senior copywriting and editorial positions at IBM and other IT, telecommunications, industrial, financial and retail businesses. A Cambridge graduate and member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, Bob also writes poems, short stories, song lyrics and novels. He’s even finished some of them.

Chris is responsible for delivering precise, high-quality, print-ready artwork, understanding the importance of balancing creativity with clarity and a strict adherence to branding guidelines. After graduating with a degree in advertising, he spent time as a freelance designer before joining the agency in 2011. A keen sportsman and member of the Lawn Tennis Association, Chris competes in regional tennis tournaments. So far no one in the office has had the balls to take him on.

Stacia is an account leader in the Detroit office, assuming responsibility for brand development projects and international advertising campaigns. An experienced marketeer, she joined TheFrameworks after nine years as marketing director at Jack Morton Worldwide, responsible for national experiential initiatives for GM Buick. Stacia loves to travel, especially when it means discovering new culinary treats. Unlike some of us, though, she takes her exercise seriously, too.

Amy takes ultimate responsibility for a number of our key client relationships and the success of their branding and marketing projects. She has had a varied and successful career in marketing and communications with organisations including IBM, Pfizer, the Detroit Economic Club, CRT Medical Systems and Compsat Technology. While her two-week driving tour of Central America wasn’t that recent she is still wearing both the hat and the smile she brought back with her.

Dan brings more than five years of experience working with agencies and brands including O2, The Open University, Derwent London and Arsenal FC and has a passion and talent for typography and modernist design principles. Outside of work Dan is a keen runner and most weekends find him negotiating the trail around Richmond Park. Dan’s running habit justifies his self-confessed large collection of trainers but where he keeps them we don’t know, as his wardrobe is already "full of things". Whatever that means.

Valerie Kurtz

Valerie is an experienced Account Manager based in the Detroit office looking after our IBM and Toshiba accounts. She joins TheFrameworks with more than seven years of account management experience with advertising agencies McCann Erickson and DBA Worldwide. Valerie has three children, loves shoes and books, and is an avid supporter of the Detroit Tigers. So if she asks, “Who’s your Tiger?” please assume it’s baseball related.

Jen is responsible for the Dassault Systèmes, Toshiba and Bloomberg accounts in the UK. After completing a law degree at Newcastle University and MA in history at Edinburgh, Jen started her career in recruitment before moving in employee engagement and account management. She enjoys nothing more than creating close working relationships with clients to ensure their campaign requirements are met and usually exceeded. Jen loves sport and once played tennis for her native Ireland. We’re very impressed!

After completing a Theatre Studies degree at Winchester University, Ellie began her writing career at a publishing company in Southampton, before embarking on a move to the big smoke. Since her humble beginnings, she’s written for big and not-so-big names, including Freshfields and Oxford University, and is a self-confessed pedant when it comes to spelling and punctuation. Outside the office, she can usually be found slaving over a hot oven concocting cakes and other edible creations to inflict upon her colleagues. Not that we’re complaining.

He brings more than 30 years of experience of working in senior positions in newspapers, television and magazines in the UK and overseas, and has also published several books. A regular visitor to the Middle East – which presumably explains the camel – he can also often be found whiling away the hours in his boat on the Thames.

Lawrence leads the agency’s international account team and has overall responsibility for business development and client management. Having previously built his own engineering software and services business, he has a wealth of experience in business development, strategy, marketing and branding. An expat Brit, Lawrence’s life used to feature warm beer and loud music (hence the 1000W amp). Today, though, it’s all Starbucks and Hollywood ambitions.

She has more than 25 years’ experience in client management and corporate marketing, having held senior marketing roles at IBM, CNN and Coca-Cola (among others). There’s a clear link between the passion Sheri has for her family and the personal care she ensures we give to our clients. We don’t tend to hug them quite as much, though.

Helena has rejoined TheFrameworks after working at an employment engagement specialist agency with clients including Freshfields and Scope. Helena lives in Kent with her daughter, cat and husband, loves Marvel comic films and used to be a wedding singer… yes, really.

Craig manages a team of designers and oversees creative concepts and design delivery. He has produced work for companies including Intel, Orange, McDonald's and the FA, across a variety of media from print and branding to motion graphics. Craig can often be found on a mountain, either climbing up it or snowboarding down it. He also claims to have met the real James Bond – in a banana hut in Zanzibar.

A keen snapper, Marisa’s passion for creatively combining typography and photography has earned her an invaluable place at the heart of the London studio. With a fine arts degree and a master’s in professional creative design under her belt, she has worked in both her native Spain and the UK on brands such as Nike, Triumph and Casio. Marisa loves exploring London by foot and is often found bargain-hunting around Brick Lane.

Heather loves to travel but sometimes only makes it as far as her garden where she loves spending time and entertaining friends. If they’ve been good she sometimes treats them to home baked cake as well.

Valli plays an invaluable role proofing and editing much of our copy-based output. An Oxford graduate, her varied career has taken her from studying piano in Vienna to a stint working in the Vatican museums. She has also been a fund manager and established her own event management business. Ultimately, though, it was while checking over manuscripts for her husband, the Financial Times foreign correspondent John Murray Brown, that she found a way to turn her passion for language into a vocation. We're not sure where she found the big cheese.

Gemma has a wealth of experience gained from working with clients including Barclays, RBS, Canon and the Greater Manchester Police. Her passion is for illustration but she also has a talent for design around employee engagement and internal communications.
Gemma enjoys riding her motorbike around the winding roads of Surrey, running and getting muddy in cross country events. Some may say she is a bit of an adrenaline fiend: we just say she's a tiny bit crazy.

When he’s not at work, Giovanni plays bass guitar, and has recently taken up karate – we’re making sure we stay in his good books.

In his spare time, Stuart enjoys taking machines apart and putting them back together again. Those that continue to function, more or less normally, have included computers, Land Rovers, bicycles and lawn mowers.
