AI has the potential to reinforce global inequalities. The Responsible AI Future Foundation was founded by Microsoft and G42 as a non-profit organisation to equip countries and companies with the practical tools they need to ensure AI alleviates, rather than drives, inequality.

Challenge

The Responsible AI Future Foundation (RAIFF) is not just another think tank. At the heart of its vision is a focus on making and delivering practical tools and solutions to help governments in the global south build sovereign AI systems that reflect their own cultures, laws and priorities, so their populations can reap the benefits and their businesses can compete fairly.

We needed to create a brand that would appeal directly to its audience of governments and businesses and clearly articulate the foundation’s practical impact, unique proposition and the transformative promise of sovereign AI.

The goal was clear: to inspire governments and corporate partners to see RAIFF as a catalyst for deploying equitable, representative AI systems.

Insight

We conducted stakeholder interviews, collaborative workshops and market analysis, uncovering a powerful strategic truth.

RAIFF is not just helping countries and governments to deploy AI to ensure they aren’t left behind: RAIFF is enabling the Global South to create AI models that reflect their own cultures, laws and priorities, liberating AI from the narrow worldview of dominant western sources.

RAIFF empowers governments to build systems that truly “speak their language” – technically, culturally and politically. The brand’s purpose is both a bold ambition and a clear-cut challenge to the status quo.

Solution

We built the brand narrative and verbal identity around a single, compelling idea: AI is what we make it. This invites action and emphasises empowerment, positioning RAIFF as a partner that accelerates real-world deployment, not a passive observer of AI developments.

We designed a visual identity to forefront responsible, human-centred intelligence, mirroring RAIFF’s mission. Every element, from the logo to the colours and typeface, expresses the intersection of humanity, ethical governance, intelligent systems and decisions made with care.

We also built an icon system to represent each sector RAIFF works with, providing unity across a diverse set of priorities rooted in a singular philosophy.

The Frameworks really nailed the brief. Our new brand is dynamic and human; it perfectly brings to life the spirit of the organisation and our vision to be leaders in responsible AI. It looks beautiful and I absolutely love it.
