Data centres are the backbone of AI infrastructure. They enable businesses to achieve their goals, but they’re often in the background. Tangible but invisible. For an industry event, we needed to show how Khazna’s next-generation approach to designing and building data centres helps its clients to thrive.

Challenge

Khazna’s world-class data centres are the backbone of AI’s future and, as a G42 company, it is a fast-growing leader in this space. To serve its clients, Khazna has to consider countries’ net zero targets and sustainability goals, customers’ constantly changing needs and the latest security demands.

We needed to communicate these considerations in a compelling, impactful way in order to elevate the value Khazna creates behind the scenes.

We had to tell a story that would engage a diverse audience at the technology festival GITEX GLOBAL, capturing and maintaining attention in a congested hall. We had to find ways to demonstrate Khazna’s innovative spirit through unforgettable digital experiences.

Insight

One insight informed our ideation: the success of the AI opportunity depends on the foundations Khazna is building. AI needs flexible, efficient and secure computing power at scale, beyond anything we’ve seen before.

Khazna’s approach to delivering this is to focus on the details, getting the small things right to shape big transformation. That ethos gave us the idea to break down the anatomy of a hyperscale with an infographic.

By dissecting a powerful data centre, we could reveal the innovation at play at every single layer, from the data hall design and the latest sustainable cooling techniques to security considerations and the utilities powering it all.

Solution

We broke down Khazna’s approach to designing and building AI infrastructure into seven steps from start to finish, from finding the right location and connecting to the grid to designing for sustainability and transforming power into intelligence.

Each step became part of an interactive digital experience with punchy descriptors, distinctive visuals and original animations. The visuals were inspired by technical drawings that reveal the detail and scale of the process, and modernised by Khazna’s signature pop of green.

We called the seven-step experience The Lifecycle of a Data Centre. At GITEX, enterprise and government stakeholders explored how Khazna applies its innovative spirit to solutions, shifting the conversation from abstract AI to physical infrastructure and tangible value.
