Give viewers a human story to remember
Build a customer success film around people's motivations and the consequences of the work. The Frameworks argues that short, human-centred, cinematic films make customer stories more memorable than detail-heavy accounts of technical achievements. The practical starting point is to identify why the customer acted and whose experience changed.
For UST, The Frameworks created a film about its work with Nourish + Bloom Market, an autonomous grocery store powered by UST's technology. The narrative centred on Jilea and Jamie Hemmings, who wanted to bring good food to their community's food desert, inspired by their autistic son, Jabari. The film heard from local suppliers, employees, UST experts, shoppers and the founders' family. The Frameworks established the narrative, then let participants tell their stories in their own words.
Keep the film concise without making duration the creative idea. Wistia's 2025 analysis of business videos hosted on its platform found average video engagement was 50% for videos under 1 minute, 46% for videos lasting 1–3 minutes and 45% for videos lasting 3–5 minutes. Choose the human story first, then give the motivations, partnership and consequences enough room to be understood.
