Keep invention separate from factual claims
Imaginative storytelling can make a campaign distinctive without changing the truth of its claims. Keep factual promises accurate, avoid concealing material negatives, and communicate clearly anything buyers need to understand. Creative authenticity means balancing invention with honesty, not treating an engaging idea as permission to mislead. The boundary matters for trust: outright lies and poorly judged departures from authenticity both risk losing an audience's confidence. A 2026 survey by TrustRadius found that 47% of technology buyers said they trusted online resources slightly or much less than they used to, among its global network of professionals involved in an organisational software or hardware purchase during the preceding year. Aim for bold expression, not inflated promises.
