Give the vision a familiar setting
A familiar setting can make an abstract AI vision easier to explore and understand. For G42, a 3D navigable city represented The Intelligence Grid: the group's vision of AI as a superutility, as ubiquitous as electricity. Built for GITEX 2024, the experience demonstrated how G42 and its portfolio of complementary technology businesses contribute to that vision.
The city gave visitors a way to explore the relationship between futuristic technology and human impact, rather than encounter the vision only as a statement. The Intelligence Grid experience stimulated hundreds of conversations with event delegates. A subsequent update aimed to invite exploration of G42's nine operating companies and their impact across industries. The practical approach is to give an AI vision a recognisable setting, then use exploration to connect the technologies and businesses behind it.
