Make the organisation behind the platform recognisable
A shared purpose and recognisable visual cues can connect a platform to the company behind it. Strategy Object's SOClass platform was widely respected, but research found that the company itself remained largely invisible. That gap made it difficult to communicate Strategy Object's expertise, innovation and leadership to government developers and engineers modernising critical trade systems.
The brand strategy for Strategy Object united the company and SOClass around a single mission: to relentlessly reimagine the way the world trades. The visual identity drew on the language and aesthetics of code to reflect developer culture. Linked typography and a coordinated, code-inspired colour palette made the relationship between company and platform visible.
Use the company-platform relationship to guide both strategy and design: establish what the two brands stand for together, then express that connection through recognisable visual elements.
